Guavas are a powerhouse of nutrient as it helps in boosting our immunity as it has 4 times more Vitamin C than what we find in an orange. Since this fruit does not require excessive use of pesticides to protect it, it can safely be consumed by all. Due to the presence of astringents in the fruit, it benefits our skin also when we eat these fruits. Besides this, guavas are rich source of vitamin-A, B, C and potassium which are good antioxidants and detoxifies also.
It was one fruit which we all enjoyed eating with salt and chilli powder on top, wrapped in old newspaper. My son does not like to eat the fruit as it has many seeds in it and since he is very fond of beverages, I end of making some chilled drinks for him out of these.
Ingredients:
Guavas 2 nos
Lemon 1 no
Sugar (Optional) 1 tbsp
Rock Salt as per taste
Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Lemon for garnishing
Slit Green chillies for garnishing
