Shrimp scampi is one the easiest shrimp recipes I have ever cooked, it take no more than a few minutes from heating the oil on the pan to serving it on the table. So, if you are too tired on a week night to cook an elaborate meal, this is your to go dinner menu.
Shrimp scampi goes wonderful with angel hair pasta, topped with some grated Parmesan cheese. If you don’t want to add white wine to the recipe, you can substitute it with a teaspoon of lemon juice and some chopped tarragon.
Ingredients:
For the shrimp scampi-
1lb fresh shrimps
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2-3 cloves of garlic, chopped
1 teaspoon chili flakes
A few sprigs of parsley
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup dry white wine
Salt to taste
For the pasta-
1 lb angel’s hair pasta
2 tablespoon Parmesan cheese (optional)
