Rava idli is the fast food cousin of rice idli made from fermented dough. It’s quick and easy recipe, you don’t need a ready-mix. You can store the dry ingredients for future use.
Ingredients:
1 cup rava (sooji, semolina)
a little more than a pinch of baking soda Or 1/4 tsp Enos fruit salt
2-3 tbsp cashew nuts
1/4 cup yogurt
1 tbsp oil or ghee
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 urad daal (green gram split)
1/4 tsp chana daal (gram dal split)
1 green chili split
1/4 cup grated carrots
1/4 cup peas
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
salt to taste
