When I was little and fell sick, Amma would crush the tablets, mix it in with honey and feed me so that the medicine goes in without fuss.I don’t know if it was just that one reason why I hate honey so much in it’s original form.I love to eat things cooked with honey as an ingredient but never as is. Whereas Jobin loves his honey and lime water that he drinks every morning! Opposites do attract, right? On the other hand, you will find me adding honey to chicken, cakes, cookies, vegetables etc because honey makes everything tastes a bit better with it’s sticky sweetness. This dish is no different. I am really in love with it and so are the people whom I have shared it with! It’s simple yet so delicious! My late Grandmother ‘Mamma’ shared this recipe with me from a book she had from a very long time . There are not many days that passes by when I don’t think about Mamma when I am cooking because I really did inherit one part of my love for cooking from her. There’s no doubt about that!
