What kind of posts can I submit?
Anything from recipes, food stories or columns. As long as it’s Indian food or Indian food inspired, you are free to choose what you would like to share on Indian Simmer. Also we really believe that people first eat with their eyes first so we ask that you add a beautifully taken photograph along with your post. It will make your recipe or story more appealing.
Will submitting my content adversely affect the search engine rating (SEO) and/or traffic to my website/blog?
While we strive to provide a platform for discovery and curation of content on Indian cuisine, we don’t want to do that at the expense of creators who are doing the amazing work with their websites or blogs. Which is why we require only a part of the recipe or content to be included in any submitted content and the link to your content be included so that Indian Simmer readers visit your website/blog to get the full view of the content and the authoritative source of content remains in your website. This also implies that visits to Indian Simmer ultimately translate to more visits to your websites/blogs.
Can I post a recipe or column inspired by someone else's work?
Yes. However, please provide credit to the original creator. Any content that has been directly copied from an original source or is in any form of copyright violation is not permitted.
I see my content posted on Indian Simmer without my permission. What can I do?
Please contact us right away with evidence of your ownership of content and we will take steps to resolve the claim.
Can I edit content I have submitted?
Sorry, at this time we don’t support editing of content that has already been submitted.
Are there any guidelines for the image accompanying the submitted content?
The image file size must be less than 2 Mb. When we display or highlight a post, we use a 2:1 center crop of the submitted image. Since a center crop is performed, it is highly recommended that you choose an image where the subject is in the center of the image.
